Memorial Day Camping
On the way up at dusk we hit a poor deer with the trailer. Luckily Christina yelled "DEER" when I didn't see it and swerved to the center of the road narrowly missing it with the car. No damage occured to the trailer but the deer did die. We got to the campsite late and had no moon to help light the night and it took a long time to get the trailer off the hitch.
The pregnant lady had a relaxing weekend and spent a lot of time napping.
Jake and family came up on Friday morning and spent the night as well.
Becky certaintly had fun. At one point in the trailer Becky said, "Taylor your giving me a headache". when asked why she said, "Taylor your talking too much".
It was a very nice area that only gets greener as summer comes.
There was still snow in patches but we came down this ravine that was full.
It rained off an on and luckily it stopped in the evening to sit by the fire and didn't rain much in the mornings except the last morning. On the last day it cleared up for several hours for us to go shooting.
The vacation was fantastic except we had some problems at the end. The car the night before we left made some hideous noises. So we dicided that we would push the car down the hill to the ranger station in the morning and get help. (no cell phone reception up there) After about 100 yards of pushing we decided to start the car and get to the top of the hill. We said a prayer started the engine and everything was fine. We left the trailer behind and slowly drove to Provo. Travis, Brady, and I went back up with the suburban to get the trailer. We thankful we got home so easily and are still waiting on word from the mechanic on what is wrong.
Stina's Home, Baby, and Birthday
Taylor (with minimal help from Stina) put linoleum tile on the front porch! it looks GREAT! It did mean that we spent 1/2 the day pulling up the old carpet that someone had GLUED to the porch before we lived there!!Monday, April 27, 2009
Then we went to a wedding reception for one of Taylor's friends from his Chemistry program, Jordan and Jenny. When we got to the reception center the sun was setting, it was beatiful! So we took some fun pictures of me (Christina) 6 1/2 months pregant.
I'm not HUGE yet, but I'm definitely not wearing my old clothes, it's fun getting to dress up to cover my growing belly :-)

So, I've been meaning to post an update for a while, alot has been going on, nothing miraculous or worthy of being on the news...but little things :-)
I had the next part of my tooth implant done monday. it went really well and was amazingly fast. After the last one I was preparing myself for the worst, but it was faster than getting a filling. They numbed me up, took a drill (really, it looked like a drill bit we have at home!), put a hole into my jaw. Then they took a screw and put that in, then he pulled out a special dentist tool (it was a ratchet!!) and he cranked the screw into my mouth...it was crazy! I felt fine after. Went about my day and even got some work done (my boss planned on me being out for the day like last time so he was surprised to hear from me too)...of course once the novacane wore off (at about 2pm) it was pretty painful, really achy. I called me doctor to see what they suggest I take (the dentist gave me a perscription for lortab...but I got REALLY sick the last time I took that so I won't touch it, pregnant or not!). I didn't end up taking anything, the past year of toothache and jaw pain have really toughened me up :-)
Tonight is the premier of the ward movie we made for our stake movie night (each ward made one). I think it's going to be great, it's a silent movie and we have a member of our ward playing the piano live during the showing!
Taylor finished his indoor/co-ed soccer intramural season second in the league, they did really well, and he's got some great battle scars. Orem City Softball has begun so tuesday nights we will be at the ballpark from about 6-9pm. In May BYU intramural softball will start and we'll add another night of softball to our schedule. I'm going to yoga and pilates about 4 nights a week to keep up with Taylor (as well as nourishing and growing a baby boy inside me!)
About three weeks ago we started going to birthing classes. We'll be doing the Bradley method. Bradley has three main points: it is "husband-coached childbirth (meaning Taylor is the one handling everything and making sure I'm comfortable...there's alot of trianing for him on what to do, what to say ect), second it's all about being a consumer as a patient (they teach us about all teh procedures and the reasons why, or why not...so that when we're at the hospital and they say they want to do somethign both taylor and I know what iti is and are making informed decisions), last it is about natural childbirth, no drugs if possible. BUT as we've discussed with our doctor we trust her and if she says I need assistance because of a complication or something we will consider it... We are really excited and are trying to prepare for the birth as well as what comes after it (raising a child and being a parent for the rest of our lives!!).
We have been having some fun getting perks since I am pregnant...the other day we went to Red Robin (burger place...) with taylor's brother and wife and were put at a TINY little table, there was an open booth next to us that was much larger. Our waiter said we could move over to that, but just as we did one fo the host girls came over and said she had a famliy waiting for taat booth and we couldn't sit there, Taylor replied pointing to me "but she's pregnant" the girl looked at me and shrugged her shoulders, "Okay..."
It was hilarious!

IT'S A BOY
So pretty much everyone has already heard, but I wanted to post it and givesome more info...I was supposed to have my appointment yesterday morning at 10am..Ithought...but at 9:45am when I was getting ready to leave I got a call saying Ihad just missed my appointment. It was at 9am, I had written it down wrong! I could have died! I've been so excited to find out I couldn't imagine waitinganother day!! So I waited on the phone while they tried to move things aroudnto get me in. They told me to come in to see the doctor at 10am and then comeback for my ultrasound at 1pm.
My doctor's appointment went fine...I need to talk to her more next time aboutbirthing classes...(Missy, what did you go to??). So at 12:50 I walked formy ultrasound, taylor was supposed to meet me there. but as soon as I walkedin they rushed me back to get started (the technician needed to go and I was tehlast one for the day). So she checked everything (his head, spine, heart, legsect) and just as Taylor walked in she announced it was a boy. We are both veryexcited! We'll probably name him Alvin Scott Cline (90% sure).
All morning Taylor kept saying, "It's going to be a girl, I know it's a girl" Which I thought was funny cause it was like he was preparing himself for theworst :-) We are both excited and I'm planning the baby's room! I loveyou All!
